Beach Boys, Johnny Reid Added to Lineup

April 26, 2018

MINOT ND USA — Norsk Høstfest has officially revealed the final acts to their Great Hall of the Vikings lineup. Newly announced acts include American rock band The Beach Boys and Canadian Juno award winning singer Johnny Reid.
With an illustrious career spanning more than two decades, Johnny Reid has captured the hearts of fans and audiences around the world. A critically acclaimed vocalist and soulful singer-songwriter, Reid is widely known for his lyrical honesty and musical ability, as demonstrated by his extensive catalogue of hit songs and album sales totaling over 1.5 million units.

The Beach Boys play an astoundingly busy schedule of concerts, averaging 150 shows a year. They have continued to create and perform with the same bold imagination and style that marked their explosive debut over 50 years ago. The Beach Boys found through their music the key to unfading youth— and they made copies for everyone. To these guys, the beach isn’t just a place where the surf comes to play— it’s where life is renewed and made whole again.

The Beach Boys and Johnny Reid join already announced Tanya Tucker & The Texas Tenors, Engelbert Humperdinck, Michael Bolton, Daniel O’Donnell, Alabama and Darci Lynne & Friends at this year’s festival.

North America’s largest Scandinavian festival begins Tuesday evening, Sept. 25, with the Scandinavian-American Hall of Fame honoree banquet and an RV Pre-Party. Festival doors open at 7:30 a.m., Wednesday with Tanya Tucker & The Texas Tenors kicking off the festival with a double-header concert. Alabama will send the festival out with a southern country bang on Saturday night and will feature a pit setup.

In addition to Great Hall of the Vikings lineup, Høstfest is chock-full of free stage entertainment. Høstfestivarians will see the return of many favorite acts such as Williams & Ree and Mollie B along with new entertainment such as Larry’s Country Diner and The Killer Vees’ Neil Diamond Tribute Show.

However, Friends of Høstfest — a membership program — can buy tickets early and will experience many other perks at the festival from discounts to special access.
