Nordic Kitchen

 

The Nordic Kitchen features some of Scandinavia's finest chefs and food artists. Audience members will learn firsthand how to make Scandinavian delicacies, and meet and interact with the chefs before and after each demonstration!

Beatrice Ojakangas

Finnish-American Beatrice Ojakangas is an expert on Finnish cuisine and the author of 29 cookbooks, one of which, The Finnish Cookbook, is recognized in both the US and Finland as the definitive source on Finnish cooking. 

 

 

Christine Cook

Cook has been a part of numerous Nordic Ware® instructional cooking and baking videos that are featured on Amazon, YouTube, and Facebook-- and makes TV appearances as well to share her love of Nordic Ware products.  She demonstrates at shows and fairs, and when she’s not doing things like this, she works at Nordic Ware as a customer service rep, where her extensive product knowledge is invaluable.

 

Linda Stewart

Stewart’s has a 30 year background in organic farming and culinary teaching, which she will bring to the Nordic Kitchen. Stewart is the winner of multiple baking and cooking awards from the Minneapolis Star Tribune and the Minnesota State Fair, including honey baking competitions, creative activities contests, and heirloom tomato displays. 

 

 

 

Stig Hansen

Born in Denmark, Hansen has been helping people across the world explore, discover or rediscover Danish culinary heritage. Learn how to dish up delicious servings of authentic Danish cooking with Old World recipes.

 

 

Stine Aasland

“The world deserves Norwegian waffles” according to Norway’s self-dubbed Waffle Queen Stine Aasland. Learn how to make these delicious waffles with a Scandinavian twist.

 

 

 

Patrice Johnson

Patrice Johnson is a Nordic food geek and meatball historian who loves to give old Scandinavian recipes a modern spin. She is a food and culture writer, cooking class instructor, and lutfisk visionary. Patrice is currently working writing her first book, titled “Swedish Jul: A Midwestern Story,” to be published by the Minnesota Historical Society Press in 2017.  

 

 

Daniel Serra

Daniel is a culinary archaeologist from Lund, Sweden, and well-known for his research of Viking cooking.
