Soile Anderson & Eleanor Ostman
Soile Anderson and Eleanor Ostman, two Finnish cooks and food personalities, have combined forces to publish a new book, Celebrations to Remember. Come see what's cooking during their presentation.
Soile Anderson is known for her passion, creativeness and attention to detail, all resulting in extra-ordinary experiences for guests who eat at her table.
Eleanor Ostman, a Finn from Hibbing, was a food writer and her Sunday column, "Tested Recipes," appeared in the St. Paul Pioneer Press for three decades, and resulted in a best-selling book, Always on Sunday and a newer version, Always on Sunday Revisited.
Patrice Johnson is a Nordic food geek and meatball historian who loves to give old Scandinavian recipes a modern spin. She is a food and culture writer, cooking class instructor, and lutfisk visionary. Patrice is currently working writing her first book, titled “Swedish Jul: A Midwestern Story,” published by the Minnesota Historical Society Press in 2017.
“The world deserves Norwegian waffles” according to Norway’s self-dubbed Waffle Queen, Stine Aasland. Learn how to make these delicious waffles with a Scandinavian twist.
Linda has a 30 year background in organic farming and culinary teaching, which she will bring to the Nordic Kitchen. She is the winner of multiple baking and cooking awards from the Minneapolis Star Tribune and the Minnesota State Fair. Stewart will present for Nordic Ware.
