OSLO, NORWAY – Hello Norsk Hostfest friends! My name is Alexis Meyer and I am the coordinator for Norsk Hostfest. I have had the opportunity to travel to Norway this week and am going to be sharing with you my adventures.

I left for Norway late Tuesday night and arrived in Oslo on Wednesday afternoon. Thursday was my first full day here in Oslo and it was spectacular. I visited the incredible Munch Museum in the morning and took a walk around the Barcode area. This area is full of amazing new architecture. After, I walked over to the Oslo Opera House and of course took in the views from the roof. I then explored Karl Johans gate which is the main street in Oslo and ended the day by having dinner by the water in Aker brygge.

Friday morning, I headed over to the Aker brygge area of Oslo where I picked up a coffee and spent time walking around. I visited the City Hall building and then hopped on a boat for a 3 hour tour of the Oslo fjord. Once I arrived back to Aker brygge I had a late lunch and then headed back to my Airbnb to get out of the rain. After the rain cleared, I walked up the street to the Royal Palace and walked around the beautiful gardens.

My Norway experience this far has been something I will never forget and I am looking forward to sharing with you what my next few days look like!
