Mary Klockeman, Kari Tauring, and Carol Sersland have been singing traditional Norwegian folk music individually for many years. They were drawn together in 2013 by the desire to sing for dancing and explore other vocal ornamentation. Ancient stories and songs describe powerful Nordic women. They are budeiene (Herding Women), entrepreneurs providing fleece of 2,000 sheep for one ship’s sail. They are warriors protecting their families. They are nature musical and nature magical. Come join in community song, dance, and celebration!
Join KvinneKraft, three Iron Age ladies who will tell stories, play nature instruments, and lead us all in a dance celebrating the powerful women of Norse culture!
