YOUR PERKS AS A 2023 HØSTFEST FESTIVAL VOLUNTEER
(Must volunteer minimally for a 4-hour shift)
EPIC Høstfest Office Volunteer Definition: a volunteer for the Høstfest Office is an individual giving his/her time to assist with a defined Høstfest Office sponsored task. (This is different from a vendor e.g. church group, coffee shop who may be asking individuals to assist/work at their specific booth to raise money, food booth, etc. These folks are workers.)

FREE admittance to the festival for the full day of your shift (this doesn’t grant admission into any Great Hall Concert(s)).
Free volunteer t-shirt.
- – Must be worn during volunteer shifts to identify you as a volunteer.
- – You may wear a cultural outfit(s) and be exempt from wearing the free volunteer t-shirt.
Volunteer wristband for each day you volunteer.
A volunteer may purchase one Great Hall general admission ticket for the difference of the ticket and the general admission price ($44 value of wristband). Visit the volunteer booth Sept. 27-30 to receive your discount.

- – To qualify for a free lunch voucher, you are required to volunteer at least 8 hours in one day (contact volunteer desk for voucher).

There are several areas that volunteers are needed, including:
Chairs help make Norsk Høstfest a fantastic experience for our volunteers and attendees alike. These lead roles occur over the entire festival (with some prep work prior) to ensure that specific areas run smoothly and efficiently. Chairs serve as liaisons between volunteers and festival staff. To learn about the various positions available, please contact Teresa Loftesnes, Volunteering Coordinator.
General Høstfest support:
Hundreds of volunteers are needed to help with setup and takedown, decorating, assisting with Scandi Kitchen tasks, welcoming visitors, scanning and selling tickets, selling Høstfest merchandise, and, of course, to scooping delicious hard ice cream.
We are looking for people who are handy with tools! The “Tool Box Crew” is needed before the festival during setup (usually the week before) and during move-out (Saturday night/Sunday and Monday after the festival) to help take down display pieces.
