Miss Norsk Høstfest

Miss Norsk Høstfest is an excellent opportunity to meet new friends while celebrating your Scandinavian heritage. Candidates must meet specific qualifications in order to be considered for the Miss Norsk Høstfest title. Judges will be looking for someone with a friendly personality who is eager to meet the public (particularly Norsk Høstfest patrons, an articulate speaker who is willing to give interviews, and who is interested in Scandinavian heritage.

Miss Norsk Høstfest candidates will be required to compete in an interview round. Should the title winner desire to move on to compete at the state level, guidance and preparations will be given by the Miss Norsk Høstfest Pageant team.

The Miss Norsk Høstfest title winner will receive several prizes, a $1,000 scholarship provided by Farmers Insurance Miranda Schuler Agency, and the ultimate award – the crown and title of Miss Norsk Høstfest!

Competition Requirements

Participants must be…

  1. Of Scandinavian Heritage (Danish, Finnish, Icelandic, Norwegian, or Swedish)
  2. Unmarried, have no children, and be between the ages of 17 to 24
  3. A senior in high school, high school graduate, or successfully completed a G.E.D testing program
  4. Involved in her community through service, volunteering, or support of local and/or national causes
  5. Available to attend this year’s festival (September 25 – 28th) and take part in the variety of activities during the festival
  6. Willing to represent Norsk Høstfest at various occasions throughout the coming year
  7. Never have been a Miss Norsk Høstfest title holder in the past

Miss Norsk Høstfest 2023 – harper skaare

Harper was born in Texas but lives in Dickinson and is a senior at Dickinson Trinity High School.

She said she hopes to attend UMary to pursue a career as a family nurse practitioner.

Harper said she’s attended Høstfest a lot and embraces her Scandinavian heritage.

“I’m really, really excited for this opportunity! I’ve been going to the Høstfest since I was little. I was a third grader when I first went, and I’ve always looked up to Miss Norsk Høstfest, so I’m really excited to have this opportunity!” said Harper.

Harper added she’s looking forward to seeing Mollie B perform at this year’s festival with her grandpa.
