Norsk Høstfest is held in the fall of each year to celebrate the Scandinavian heritage throughout North America. “Norsk Høstfest” means “Fall Festival” in Norwegian, and it represents the time of harvest.
Scandinavians immigrated to North America and North Dakota specifically because they saw opportunity. For many this meant purchasing land and farming. Many farms throughout North Dakota have Scandinavian ancestry.
