Viking Story: “Sigrid and the Dragon”
Anna has worked as a professional musician and teacher for over twenty years. Her specialty lies with old Nordic traditional instruments, especially the nyckelharpa (the keyed fiddle) and the Swedish bagpipe. She is one of only eight official Master Musicians (Riksspelman) on this unique instrument. She studied musicology at the prestigious Lund University and has since been active touring all over the world as a freelance musician and producer, performing early music and Nordic roots music both as a soloist and with her her groups Svanevit, Dråm and Falsobordone. During her most recent production, the children’s concert “The Three Billy Goats Gruff,” she performed for thousands of young children and families in Sweden and at Norsk Høstfest in 2018.
